My chest started a fire

The lasted until today

The fire burns my ribs

Still broken my sternum pressed

The van no more

No more lifting my infant

No more carrying my daughters

Fire that my life is in my chest.

I give this to my four children

I hope you read this some day

Your mother changed

January 5th 2012 when the airbag smashed chest

I knew 8 months  after

I was altered

And they said I would heal

The rib never healed right nor the sternum

And my heart is broken for this lifetime

Mom was altered

By 2 weeks of severe pain in 2012

I suffered in silence

Trying to be a mother

My fail is in 2019

A mother no more

To my four children

Two boys and two girls

I love you all

Mom leaves in less

Than a decade now

I hope you understand

The van took my life

You are my heart now

My sons and daughters

You are my memories of happier days

I face surgery and medication bravely

I hope you are brave too

I face destitution

I face death alone.
